Aroostook State Park was Maine's first State Park, and today makes up just over 800 acres. This is a good destination for those visitors wishing to explore the North Woods of Maine, as well as the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Quebec. Located in Presque Isle, ME.

Baxter State Park was dedicated to the people of Maine by Percival P. Baxter in 1939. Two mountain ranges exist in the park including the mountains that surround Katahdin and the Traveler Range. Camping, hiking and other opportunities can be found within the park. A limited number of visitprs are admitted to the park each day, so to avoid disappoinment, arrive early.
